Tracy Segovia Obituary

In Loving Memory of Tracy Kahaunani Mauna Kea Segovia
April 28, 2006 – January 26, 2025

With profound sorrow and boundless love, we honor and remember Tracy Kahaunaaani Maunna Kea Segovia, an extraordinary young man whose light shone as brilliantly as the sun. Tracy was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, whose kindness, strength, and passion left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on April 28, 2006 in Oxnard, California, Tracy was a force of nature, much like the great volcano mountain he was named after. His heart was as vast and unyielding as Mauna Kea itself, filled with love, kindness and courage. Tracy’s smile could brighten the darkest of days, and his presence brought warmth and joy to everyone around him.

Tracy found immense happiness in the love of his life, Carlie, with whom he shared a bond of laughter, dreams, and unwavering companionship. He aspired to become a welder and was deeply passionate about training to be an MMA fighter and trained in Jiu Jitsu at Memento Mori Grappling Club. A dedicated athlete, Tracy built an incredible legacy on the wrestling mats of Buena Ventura High School, where he graduated with the Class of 2024. As a big brother to his wrestling teammates, he was a mentor, an encourager, and a relentless champion of their success. His spiirit of perseverance and camaraderie inspired those around him to push beyond their limits.

At home, Tracy was the protective and loving big brother to Frankie, whom he cherished beyond measure. He stood as the family’s gentle giant, always watching over his little brother and his beloved mother, Kamariis, with whom he shared the same radiant smile. Their bond was deep and unshakable, a love that transcends time and space.

Tracy was a young man of many talents. He found joy in playing bass guitar, an influential gift from his father, Jamison often jamming with his father and friends in the garage, filling the air with music and laughter. He loved the ocean, the rhythm of the waves, and the feeling of the sun on his face as he surfed and sailed. Welding became his passion, a craft that allowed him to shape and build, much like the way he shaped and built the hearts of those who loved him.

Tracy’s kindness, strength, and love will forever be etched in our hearts. He was a protector, a mentor, a best friend, incredible son and above all, a soul too beautiful for this world. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for others will live on eternally.

We will forever honor, celebrate, and cherish Tracy’s memory, finding comfort in the love he gave and the joy he brought into our lives.

Rest peacefully, dear Tracy. Your heart was as vast as the mountain, your love as deep as the ocean, and your spirit as boundless as the sky. You will always be missed but never forgotten.

Forever in Our Hearts
