Joshua Brandon Stepp

Joshua Brandon Stepp was born on June 17, 1977, and in all of his life - one thing is DEFINITELY for sure: he has brought the best out of so many people that he has touched in his life.  His smile has ALWAYS lit up a room, no matter WHERE he was or what was going on.  

On August 20th, Joshua went in to St John’s Reginoal Medical Center in Oxnard, California for another procedure to correct scar tissue and a hernia that had been giving him some issues for quite a few years that could not be avoided any longer.  The first couple of days were fine, and then his recovery turned for the worst.  After several complications, Joshua needed to be put on a ventilator to sustain his life.  Joshua Brandon Stepp was called home by his Lord on September 1, 2021 at 9:05am PST - with no pain, and at peace.  

Memorial Service for Joshua Brandon Stepp, age 44,  will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Joshua Tree National Park in California in accordance with his final wishes.  He wanted his ashes spread under a Joshua Tree, and I could not think of a better place.  Due to Covid-19, and with this family and friends being so far apart - his service will be virtual.  Dedications and expressions of sympathy can be left at the virtual service or at https://www.channelislandscremations.com/obituary/Joshua-Stepp.  

He is survived by his wife, Nikki Stepp; 2 Step-Sons, Derrick Simmons and Jason Simmons (Ariel); Father, James C Stepp Jr. (Azalea) ;  Preceded in death by his Mother, Linda Susan Skinner Stepp; Sister, Nina N. Renick  (Joshua); Brother, Denny D. Bush Jr. (Kate); Aunt and Uncle, Nancy and David Short ; Close Friend, Tohid Muhammad Alam and Family; Close Friend, Timothy Radney, and Family.  Joshua leaves behind an joins with his Mother several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who cared for him very much.
