James Treadwell II Obituary

James Steven Treadwell II, entered eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 19, 2025 at the age of 59, after his courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. He was born November 22, 1965 in Phoenix, AZ and spent most of his early life in Arizona and Southern California. James was a man of strong faith and an active member of The River Community Church. He was a loyal and dependable friend to many. James was fun loving, did not take himself too seriously, and was always ready to share a new joke. Early in his career, he worked at Xerox and Union Pacific Railroad. James most recently resided in the Ventura, CA area where he owned his own company providing home repair and restoration services, often for historic buildings. His impressive woodwork and tilework showcased his exquisite craftsmanship and artistry. His close friends, Eric Iturbide and Fernando Ortega, continue to execute his vision in his final remodeling project. James was also a skilled mechanic and enjoyed fixing cars, motorcycles, and bicycles and anything mechanical.

James is preceded in death by many loving relatives, including his grandfather and grandmother, George and Carmen Wilson, his grandmother Lillian Blackmon Treadwell Thomas, and his uncle Larry Treadwell and aunt Annette Treadwell. He is survived by his beloved partner, Tracy Kruft Hyatt of Ventura, CA; his father, James Steven Treadwell (Kristine) of Tucson, AZ; his mother, Selena Wilson Ward of Heber, AZ; his son, James Steven Treadwell III (Amber) of Penrose, CO; his sister, Carolyn Harris (Randy) of Tonopah, AZ; his sister, Sandra Farr Mikles (Robert) of Heber, AZ; his brother, Charles Martin of Omaha, NE; his brother, James “Danny” Johnston of Superior, AZ; his sister, Katrina Treadwell Nicholas of Henderson, NV; and his sister, Kari Treadwell Ruehlen (Ryan) of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews: Michelle Hice, Collete Henderson, Tonyia Villa, Jackie Stoval, Rachel Farr, Matt Farr, Jonathan Martin, Ross Martin, Kalista Nicholas, Kressida Nicholas, Kassandra Nicholas, and Sterling Ruehlen.
