Douglas “Doug” Christian Mullins
Oak View, CA
Doug was born on January 6, 1972 in Kennewick, Washington and sadly lost his life on September 26, 2020 as the victim of a fatal accident. He was 48.
Doug grew up in Ojai, starting from preschool and all the way through high school. He later moved to Oak View with his family. Doug had many friends and enjoyed the little things in life – like a great football game or a tasty bar-b-que. He was a loving husband to his wife, Erin who was his best friend. They had been together for 16 years when they got married on Valentine’s Day of this year. He was also the proud father their daughter, Cheyenne. They had an undeniable bond together and he truly loved being Cheyenne’s dad – she was his pride and joy. He loved his family with all of his heart.
Doug took great pride in the fact that he worked in the oil fields. He comes from a long family history of this type of work. Doug had a strong work ethic and almost never missed a day of work.
Doug is survived by his wife Erin Mullins, daughter Cheyenne Mullins, sister Tammy Hooper (Richard), nephew Jacob Hooper, brother Jim Molden, nieces Brianna & Kaylin Molden, aunts and uncles: Kenny & Tracy Beisel, David & Tammy Robbins, Gary & Brenda Robbins, Lynn & Cindy Mullins, and Duane & Joy Mullins as well as numerous other family members
and too many friends to count.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Dan & Sharon Mullins, both sets of grandparents: Bob & Marilyn Forgey and Charlene Mickle & Billy Robbins.
Doug was a dedicated friend, loving husband and father with a great sense of humor and a kind heart.
He will truly be missed.
